
What are the basic storage conditions for seamless steel pipes?
Seamless steel pipes are widely used in the casting industry due to their unique characteristics and materials. So how should seamless steel pipes be stored? Choose a suitable location and warehouse:
(1) The location or warehouse for storing construction steel should be a clean area with unobstructed drainage, avoiding factories and mines that generate harmful substances or dust. The ground should be cleared of weeds and all items to keep the construction steel clean;
(2) In the warehouse, it should not be stored together with materials that are corrosive to the material, such as acids, alkalis, salts, or concrete. (2) Different types of construction steel can be stacked separately to avoid mixing and contact corrosion;
(3) Large steel sections, rails, thick steel plates, large-diameter seamless pipes, and cast steel parts can be stacked outdoors;
(4) Medium and small steel sections, coils, reinforcing bars, medium-sized seamless steel pipes, stainless steel wire, and galvanized steel wire ropes can be stored in well-ventilated sheds, but need to be covered and padded;
(5) Some medium and small construction steel, cold-rolled steel plates, strip steel, ferrite cores, small-diameter or thin-walled steel pipes, various cold-rolled and cold-drawn construction steel, and expensive and easily corroded metal products can be stored in warehouses;
(6) Warehouses should be selected according to natural conditions, generally using general enclosed warehouses with roofs, walls, tight windows and doors, and ventilation devices;
(7) Warehouses should be well-ventilated on sunny days and waterproofed during rain, and a suitable storage environment should be maintained at all times.
