A Socket Weld(SW)Tee is a T-shaped,forged pipe fitting designed to create a 90°branch or combine three pipeline ends in high-pressure/high-temperature industrial piping systems.Its defining feature is the recessed socket at each port—pipes are inserted into these sockets and sealed with a fillet weld around the rim,ensuring exceptional leak integrity without full butt-weld preparation.It is available in Equal Tee(all three ends same diameter)and Reducing Tee(branch ends smaller than the run)configurations.
Construction&Manufacturing
Made via hot forging from round bar/steel ingots,followed by precision machining,heat treatment,and non-destructive testing(NDT).
Sizes:1/8″to 4″(DN6 to DN100),standard for smaller-bore high-pressure lines.
Pressure Ratings:3000 LB,6000 LB,9000 LB(matching SCH80/XS,SCH160,XXS pipe schedules).
