Spiral Pipe for Structural Use,full name of spiral seam submerged arc welded steel pipe,is a structural pipe made of hot-rolled steel strip by spiral forming and double-sided automatic submerged arc welding.It is widely used in engineering fields such as building steel structure,bridge,tower,pile foundation,factory column,grid support,municipal pipe gallery and large equipment support,and is an important load-bearing and enclosure component in modern steel structure system.
Compared with straight-seam steel pipe,spiral pipe for structure has higher cross-section inertia moment,bending and torsion stiffness,more uniform stress distribution and stronger deformation resistance under the same wall thickness,and is especially suitable for structural engineering in long-span,heavy-load,high wind pressure and earthquake-prone areas.The commonly used materials are mainly structural steels such as Q235B,Q355B and Q355C,which have moderate strength,excellent weldability and stable toughness,and can meet various processing requirements such as shearing,bending,drilling and flange connection.
The product has a wide range of specifications,the pipe diameter is usually from 219mm to 2420mm,and the wall thickness is from 6mm to 20mm or more.It can be flexibly customized according to the design load,span and installation conditions,and can replace some section steel and box columns,and ensure the overall stability of the structure while reducing the dead weight.The spiral weld is continuous and dense,and it has been checked by water pressure test,ultrasonic flaw detection,X-ray detection and other quality tests to ensure that there are no cracks,pores,incomplete penetration and other defects,which meets the strict requirements of steel structure engineering for safety and reliability.
