A seamless reducer is a kind of pipe fitting used to connect pipelines of different diameters,formed by hot or cold processing from a single seamless pipe blank without longitudinal or circumferential welds.It is mainly divided into concentric reducers and eccentric reducers,and is widely used in petrochemical,oil and gas transmission,electric power,chemical engineering,metallurgy,and long-distance pipeline engineering.
Compared with welded reducers,seamless reducers have higher structural integrity and pressure-bearing capacity.The seamless forming process ensures uniform wall thickness,smooth inner and outer surfaces,and no weak points caused by welds,making them particularly suitable for high-pressure,high-temperature,flammable,explosive,and corrosive media working conditions.Common materials include carbon steel,alloy steel,austenitic stainless steel,duplex stainless steel,and other alloy materials,which can be selected according to service temperature,pressure level,and medium corrosion characteristics.
