A blind flange is a solid,disc-shaped pipe fitting without a center bore,designed to seal,block or terminate the end of a piping system,pressure vessel,valve or nozzle.It forms a pressure-tight closure by being bolted to a matching flange face with a gasket between them,effectively stopping fluid flow and enabling system pressure testing,maintenance or future extension.
